My youngest was having his fourth birthday and we decided to surprise them with a trip.
My children saw a Great Wolf Lodge trip with the #dailybumps on YouTube, and they had to go. They have been harassing us for a long time. We just had gone to Legoland for my oldest sons birthday so we had to go somewhere special for little Kyle too.
We went to the Georgia location and our first impression, we were amazed!!! The kids were so excited and so was I. The entrance was beautiful, warm fire going, great tall ceilings and friendly faces. At check-in, the kids got wolf ears and my birthday son got wolf ears with a birthday hat on it.
We got checked in the room. Even the small rooms were nice though. The four of us fit great and there was even a pullout couch we didn’t use. They didn’t have a microwave in the room but they had one by the vending machine and ice maker on every floor. We did get a mini fridge which was nice so I can hold snacks for the kiddos.
We got the birthday pack which included a poster on the door, a card, an ice cream cone, $10.00 arcade card, and balloons. Kyle was so excited about going in the room to see it. We also got a wolf pass package that included some of their activities. 1 MagiQuest game, MagiQuest wand, unlimited ropes course, 1 round of mini golf, 1 game of mini bowling, 2 climbs on the rock wall, 20 paws at the arcade, a bucket of candy and Ben and Jerry Ice cream cone. Totally worth it.
They also have a breakfast card you can purchase ahead of time and I would recommend the breakfast buffet. They have a pizza shop you can order a full pizza and bring it back to your room.
It looked a lot bigger from the video we saw before but they do have other locations. There was a lot to do and I’m so happy we ended up going there. I loved how there were free activities to do with your children every hour from 8:15 A.M. to 8:15 P.M. From yoga in the morning to dance party at night the kids loved it. I can’t wait until we go back again.
Okay now to the main attraction… the water park. We stayed two nights which I thought was perfect. Right, when we got there we went right into the water. My youngest loves water but not so much on the big slides. He liked splashing around in the kiddie slides and water spouts. Although there was a ride for all of us which was a lot of fun. My oldest was just too short for only one ride. Since we went on the off season we were able to get on everything with no problem. I think this park is perfect for children 1-12.
Tips to save money:
- Book on the offseason
- Pack snack and Pb&J sandwiches
- Order the Paw pass at booking to save
- Enjoy all the free activities
- Order a family size pizza
- Get the smallest room (they are still nice)
Let me know which park you went to or deciding to go to. I did not mention before but they did have a flip flop making shop, mining, and build an animal that we didn’t do. The only thing I wish they had was allergy friendly foods choice. The staff was super friendly and we definitely will be going back. Love ya, Mary xoxo
