I’m turning into that mother I looked and snickered at. I totally didn’t understand it until I had my own children and as I got older I’m getting worse.
Who knew I would be the one eating no gluten, dairy, or red meat? I sure the heck didn’t EVER think I was. If you asked me ten years ago, I would have laughed in your face.
Drinking out of a water hose and driving through fast food was something I did. I was the one that bought the cheapest brands in everything. Nowadays, everything has to be researched.
I’m now that crazy mom that looks everything up, the one that asks a thousand questions, and the one that checks every label. Am I the only one?
My husband is really bad and probably has made me the way I am. I’m glad he has though. I want my kids to be healthy and I feel like it’s my job to do everything I can to keep them safe and healthy.
I am not that mom that lets their kids jump off beds or swings and let them “learn a lesson”. I’m always watching and trying to stop every crazy thing they are about to do. It gets so overwhelming the older they get.
I’m with my kids 24/7 and I love it but I also don’t want to feel like I’m smothering them either. I don’t trust anybody or anything that gets near my kids. I really don’t know why I’m like this either, I had a great childhood.
The next thing I would like to accomplish is to eliminate all plastic. We have been trying to transition into this but every time I think I’m doing great I take out the recycling box full of plastic:(
I’ve tried to plant my own garden so we had our FRESH veggies but I don’t have a green thumb. I literally have killed everything we tried. I water it too much or wasn’t getting enough sun.
When I grocery shop, it takes me forever. I try to make my own cleaners, face scrubs, and make as many foods I can make fresh. Sometimes I wish we can go back in time and keep life simple. Using only the herbs, fruits, and veggies we grow. The meat we hunt and items we make.
How many moms can say they are crazy with me? They do the same thing, always looking for ways to make your family healthier. Let me know in the comments what you have changed since you became a mom. Love ya, Mary xoxo
