I know most people can easily spend $200 a week on groceries.
I think everyone will go through a hard time once in their life. When my husband and I moved to South Carolina by ourselves (for only a year) we had a hard time when we got there. My husband didn’t get his transfer and I didn’t find a job for the first month we were there. We found cheap meals until we got our jobs, and I would like to share them with you.
*Disclaimer- I would not recommend eating like this for long. It is not very healthy but if you are struggling this might help.
I would like to share with you a week of meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks), that serves 2-4 people for under $40.
College students, single parents, and transitioning life goals can be some times when you might be hurting for money. If my family goes through a drive-thru, it can almost be $40. I might have to use this meal plan when we move into our new house since we doubled our mortgage, it might take us a month to get situated.
I found all this stuff right at a Dollar Tree but you can find these foods at Walmart as well (maybe cheaper). I have a bag of potatoes, an onion and bananas you will have to get at Walmart or a fruit stand. Keep your eyes out for any deals and coupons.

Good luck, and let me know if you have any other cheap meals you grew up on maybe just discovered. If you need help with food, there are food pantries at local churches that can help you. If you and your children are ever going hungry please don’t hesitate to ask for help. Have a blessed day. Love ya, Mary xoxo
