Turkey Cookies

Is there a cookie season for you? Is cookie season all the time? What would you think about Turkey Cookies? We love cookies. I was big into cookies and, my favorite is chocolate chip. When I went dairy and gluten-free I made my recipe, check it out >>HERE<<.

Since we had so much candy leftover from Halloween, I decided to let the kids decorate sugar cookies. We made our sugar cookies into little turkeys. I was planning to have a bird week with them in school and decided this is a perfect snack for them to have.

This little project was easy to create. You, of course, can make your sugar cookie of your choice or use Pillsbury as we did. I have little bowls that came in a set from JcPennys. The kids picked out the candy they wanted to use. They went straight to work.

I put our story on Instagram, you can follow me for more story like this one >>HERE<<.

Candy we used:

  • Candy corn
  • Skittles
  • Mini Reese’s
  • Candy eyeballs
  • Mini crunch rounds
  • Smarties
  • Sprinkles
  • Chocolate and vanilla icing

You can make these cookies when you are discussing birds or turkeys. You can also let the whole family decorate on Thanksgiving. Have fun with your little ones, and post pictures in the comments with new ideas.

We had lots of fun and can’t wait to do it again. Pin it for later, so you don’t forget to try this. Have a great cookie season! Love ya, Mary xoxo
