4 ULTIMATE WAYS TO STILL CELEBRATE A GRADUATE

Still celebrate graduation even if your in quarantine.

Graduates of 2020, I want to congratulate you. If you’re graduating from preschool or college, it’s a great accomplishment. My youngest son graduates from preschool this year, and I’m so thrilled. It’s so hard not to want to celebrate with family and friends. This year we just have to celebrate a little differently.

I’ve asked around to find some fun creative ways to celebrate these accomplishments. I found the best 4 to share will all of you. From mini parties, drive-thrus, drive-by parades, or virtual celebrations, there is always a way to celebrate.

When I say “mini parties” I want there to be a BIG party at home. Decorations, snacks, and gifts. It doesn’t matter the size of the party, as long as your celebrating your child’s accomplishments together. If someone from extended family or friends want to give gifts, suggest sending them or dropping them off at the door. Don’t forget to check out The Crispy Family >>HERE<< for some great graduation gift ideas.

Drive-thru parties are such great ideas. I saw this happening at a few preschool centers. Such a great idea to incorporate this at home. You can set up a big backdrop and let each family member or friend come through one at a time for a picture with the graduate. You can also have snacks-to-go. Take a look at 30 graduation dessert ideas. Later, you can email a copy of a picture to each person that snapped a picture with the graduate, thanking them for stopping by. If you need masks, check out THESE cute personalized masks.

Like a drive-thru party, you can also do drive-by parades. Everyone that would like to drive by can decorate their vehicles and celebrate with each graduate. At home you can order signs and banners and place in your front yard. This is where we got signs and banners >>HERE<<

Virtual zoom graduation parties are the “go-to” thing to do this year. Gather some friends from the same graduating class and create a fun slide show with music and pictures through-out the (short) year. Add your friends and family to jump on and celebrate together. Have your child dress up and present them with a diploma. Print a FREE 2020 diploma >>HERE<<.

I hope you can enjoy these ideas and have fun (in a creative way) with your loved ones this year. Your children have worked hard and deserved to be celebrated for their accomplishments. I would love to see pictures in the comments or let me know some fun ideas you did this year. Stay safe. Love ya, Mary xoxo

  1. It’s so sad that so many graduates are missing out on their ceremonies. I love your suggestions on celebrating them – great post 🙂

  2. These are great ways to still celebrate a grad. I know it’s a different celebration for everyone but still important to make it fun.
