What have you learned something on YOUTUBE? I have taught myself how to crochet. Yes, along with my pool exercises I sometimes feel older than I am. Check out that story here. My grandma had taught me how to knit but I kept hearing that crocheting is a lot easier so I decided to give it a try.
I started out very basic. Just learning what all the abbreviation were and how to do the basic stitch. Once I figured that out I was just watching full videos on how to crochet a hat. It took me a year until I could look at a pattern and follow it. My weakness is counting stitches. I have so many distractions with the boys that I always lose count.
I have made so many different things. Of course, I started off easy with a hat and a scarf once I made those for everyone I knew, I decided to move on. Now I have made leg warmers, mermaid tail blankets, kitchen aprons, baby items, and blankets. My favorite now it probably baby items. I wish I knew how to crochet when I could actually use this for my boys but now I get to make these things for my family.
Every time I read a pattern I like to add something or leave something out. (I do this with recipes too) Sometimes it actually turns out good. It takes a lot of time. I have fun crocheting when I have the time. I have recently started my Etsy page, check it out >>HERE<<. Let me know what you have learned, maybe I will give it a try. UPDATE* I actually learned how to set up my blog through Youtube videos too. Love ya, Mary xoxo
